Applications

Rubber in automotive parts

Every modern vehicle depends on parts that seal, cushion, insulate and protect – from door seals and bushings to under-body panels and acoustic mats. By replacing part of the virgin rubber as well as Carbon Black with Genan micronised rubber powder (MRP), manufacturers strengthen performance and take a real step towards circularity.

Genan MRP is produced from end-of-life tyres in ISO-certified plants and screened to fine mesh sizes for clean, reliable integration. Added to automotive elastomers and plastic compounds, it helps reduce raw-material costs, manage price fluctuations and lower the carbon footprint of every finished part – without changing established processes.

The benefits run deeper than cost alone. MRP enhances impact resistance, vibration damping and flexibility – key features for seals, gaskets, NVH parts and protective coatings. Fine, uniform particles disperse smoothly in standard extrusion, injection or compression moulding lines, keeping performance predictable and production efficient.

Textile fibres in automotive parts

Alongside rubber, Genan textile fibres open further possibilities for automotive design. They are well-suited for absorbers, where their structure adds effective acoustic and thermal insulation. This makes them a strong complement to MRP in noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) applications – supporting quieter cabins, lighter components and greater comfort.

Endless posibilities

The only limit is your imagination

Why choose Genan rubber powder?

– A consistent, high-quality product
– Large volume availability

– High efficiency due to a very clean product

– An easy order and delivery process
– A sustainable solution

When producing shoe soles, you need good compounding properties. With micronised rubber powder from Genan in your compound, you will get a sustainable, environment-friendly, high-quality product. If you opt for micronised rubber powder from end-of-life tyres as a filler instead of using e.g. waste rubber from your own production process, a larger percentage of virgin material may be substituted. More recycled material may thus be added – for a more cost-effective rubber compound.

The Genan concept is both remarkable and inspiring. From the intake of end-of-life tyres to the use of rubber products in our customers’ various applications, we strive to deliver an innovative, high–quality, sustainable product.

GENAN Rubber granulate and rubber powder can be used for many different applications.

Let us inspire you.

When producing conveyor belts, it is possible to reduce compound costs through a substitution of virgin elastomer with Genan micronised rubber powder.
Sometimes, virgin elastomers are substituted by reclaim rubber for the same reason; but using Genan micronised rubber powder will provide you with an even better solution, because of the fine properties of this type of rubber.
